Alexis Alejandro Sánchez Sánchez, known as Alexis Sánchez or simply Alexis, is a Chilean professional footballer born on December 19, 1988, in Tocopilla, Chile. Sánchez is celebrated as one of Chile's greatest footballers and is known for his forward position, currently playing for Serie A club Inter Milan and the Chile national team. Sánchez's journey into football began at a young age, initially with Universidad Católica's Academy and later with Cobreloa's youth ranks. His professional debut came at just 15 with Cobreloa, leading to his transfer to Udinese in 2006. He gained further experience on loan at Colo-Colo and River Plate, winning consecutive league titles and making a name for himself. His big break came in 2011 with a record transfer to Barcelona, becoming the most expensive Chilean player at that time. At Barcelona, he enjoyed success, winning six trophies, including La Liga and Copa del Rey. In 2014, he moved to Arsenal, where he won two FA Cups and was recognized as the PFA Fans' Player of the Year in 2015.
