Adam Brody is an American actor and writer, best known for his role as Seth Cohen in the hit television series "The O.C." He was born on December 15, 1979, in San Diego, California, and grew up in a Jewish family. Brody attended Scripps Ranch High School, where he played drums in a band called Big Japan. After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Brody's big break came in 2003 when he was cast as the nerdy and lovable Seth Cohen in "The O.C." The show was a massive hit and quickly made him a household name. He stayed on the show for all four seasons, cementing his status as a teen heartthrob. After "The O.C." ended, Brody continued to work in television and film, taking on a variety of roles. He has appeared in movies such as "Jennifer's Body," "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," and "The Oranges," and television shows such as "Gilmore Girls," "House of Lies," and "StartUp." In addition to acting, Brody is also a writer. He co-wrote and starred in the indie film "Growing Up and Other Lies," which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2014. Brody is married to actress Leighton Meester, and the couple has two children together. They live in Los Angeles.
